How to connect
 

• Client: No client required! We have an all-in-one Installer, Patcher, Launcher that runs off of ClassicUOLauncher with some other features built in! Simply download, let it patch, and create your character!

What you start with
 

Beyond the standard UO starting kit (backpack, 1,000 gold, candle, dagger, book, basic clothing), every new character on this shard also spawns with several shard-made convenience items — worth explaining on the site so players aren't confused when they open their pack:

• Forgotten Master Key — an all-in-one resource organizer with 12 tabs (Survival, Reagents, Tailoring, Logs, Ingots, Ore, Tools, Gems, Potions, Alchemy, Runes, Imbuing). It automatically sweeps matching resources out of your backpack after looting, so raw materials stay sorted instead of cluttering your pack.

• Master Looter Backpack — an auto-loot system that grabs gold and configured item types off corpses automatically.

• Portable Trash Bag — a personal trash can for instantly deleting junk loot.

• Starter Mount Stable — a pocket stable containing a bonded starting horse, so you have a mount from minute one without needing to visit a stablemaster.
   

Must-know rules before you start playing
 

• Don't AFK-macro. The shard runs an active anti-AFK system that monitors gathering, crafting, and combat activity. Idling while a macro runs unattended can trigger a check and, if you don't respond, a temporary jail. A lightweight "are you there?" presence check comes first in most cases — respond to it. This is worth its own callout box on the page, since it catches new players off guard more than veterans.

• Character stat/skill caps are higher than most shards — see the Character & Skills page. You are not forced to specialize.

• This is a PVM only shard. There should be no PVP unless a special event is being ran. Please report if you feel like you were PK.

First few things to do

1. Visit the Training Quarters on the Moongates under Custom>Cities>Training Quarters

2. Open your Forgotten Master Key and Master Looter Backpack once so you know where your loot goes.

3. Join the Discord and say hello in #world-chat or general chat — the community is part of the pitch. Use [wc (message) to use world chat.

4. Check the in-game Event Schedule for anything running today (Boss Gauntlet, Dungeon of the Day, etc. — see Events page).

5. Remember you're not locked into ~7 skills like most shards — the total skill pool is large enough to eventually GM nearly everything, so don't stress over "picking a template" early on.
